The Spectral Bandwidth (SBW) of a spectrophotometer defines the ability of spectrophotometers and microplate readers to resolve closely located wavelength peaks of a sample.

Our SBW calibration standards are calibrated in the ISO-17025 accredited facility and are NIST-traceable.

European (Ph.Eur), US (Chapters 857 and 1857), British, and Canadian pharmacopoeias require the Toluene in Hexane solution SBW calibration standard and the Hexane blank to be used for the validation of SBW of spectrophotometers and microplate readers within the spectral range of 265nm - 272nm.

Said above traditional Toluene in Hexane solution SBW calibration standards have two fundamental limitations: they cannot  validate the SBW >3nm and they have a substantial temperature dependencies, as outlined in pharmacopoeias mentioned above.

Taking in consideration the above, few years ago we developed and currently manufacture an innovative solid-state SBW calibration standard operating within the same spectral range and capable of validating SBW of spectrophotometers and microplate readers up to 5 nm while having no temperature dependencies. This solid-state SBW calibration standard is NIST Traceable through established BIPM procedures.

We manufacture both - traditional and innovative SBW calibration standards mentioned above towards addressing calibration needs of our customers.

Note: This calibration standards are also offered in a 96-well microplate for $100 extra. This option is available in a buying basket.
